The Tooth Mouse
The Story of Little Mouse Snoes and the Tooth
Once upon a time, there was a tiny mouse named Snoes. Snoes lived deep underground in a cozy mouse hole filled with shiny teeth. She used these teeth to create new things, like sparkling candles and little treasure boxes.
One evening, Snoes received a very important task. A little girl named Sophiehad just lost her first tooth. Sophie had carefully placed the tooth in a shoe, hoping that the Tooth Mouse would visit. And that, of course, was Snoes’ job!
With a small backpack full of sweets, Snoes set off. She carried a tiny lantern tied to her tail to light the way. “I must be very quiet,” Snoes whispered to herself, “so the children don’t see me!”
Visiting Sophie
Snoes crept through tiny holes and jumped over big puddles in the garden. Eventually, she reached Sophie’s house. The shoe was placed neatly by the door, and there, on top of it, was the tooth. It gleamed beautifully in the moonlight.
“What a lovely tooth!” squeaked Snoes happily. She carefully picked it up, treating it like a precious treasure. Then she took a delicious sweet from her backpack: a pink lollipop covered in glittery sugar. She placed the candy right where the tooth had been.
“There! Sophie will be so happy tomorrow!” Snoes whispered with a smile.
Back Home
With the tooth safely tucked in her backpack, Snoes made her way home. On her journey, she heard all sorts of sounds: owls hooting and crickets chirping happily. But Snoes wasn’t scared, because she knew she had done something wonderful.
Back in her cozy home, she placed the tooth in a special spot in her mouse hole. She smiled proudly. “This tooth will have a place of honor. Tomorrow, I’ll turn it into a beautiful sparkling lamp!”
The next morning, Sophie woke up. When she looked in her shoe, she exclaimed joyfully, “The Tooth Mouse came! And look, a candy!” She ran to tell her parents about her new treasure.
And Snoes? She sat in her little hole, sipping a cup of mouse tea, smiling contentedly. She knew she had made another child happy.
The picture shows Snoes standing by a child’s shoe near the door. She’s holding Sophie’s shiny tooth in one paw and placing a glittery pink lollipop in the shoe with the other. The scene is bathed in soft moonlight from a nearby window, and Snoes’ tiny tail lantern glows gently. Around the shoe, you can see cozy details like slippers and toys, making the scene warm and magical.
