Pirrewitje helps the shepherds
Once upon a time, in a small, cozy forest not far from Bethlehem, lived Pirrewitje, a small but brave gnome. Pirrewitje lived in a hollowed-out tree and was always busy doing good deeds. On a cold winter night, as the stars twinkled in the sky, Pirrewitje heard soft voices.
They were the shepherds, on their way to Bethlehem. They had heard about the birth of a special child but had lost their way. Pirrewitje, always eager to help, called his gnome friends together. Together, they devised a plan to help the shepherds.
The gnomes set to work. They gathered sparkling fireflies and asked the forest owls to guide the way from the sky. Pirrewitje led the group, whispering directions to the shepherds, who looked in amazement at the beautiful lights and listened to the soft voices of the gnomes.
With the help of the fireflies and the owls, the shepherds finally found their way through the forest. They followed the starry sky, guided by the lights and the soft sounds of the gnomes. After a while, they arrived at a small cave.
There, in the cave, they found the special child, Jesus, in a manger, surrounded by his mother Mary and Joseph. The shepherds were so grateful for the help of Pirrewitje and the other gnomes. They knew they would never forget this magical moment.
Pirrewitje and his friends watched from the shadows of the forest, happy to have been able to help. They had performed another good deed today. As the shepherds knelt by the child, the gnomes smiled and quietly disappeared back into the forest.
And that’s the end of the story of how the gnomes helped the shepherds find their way.
Here is the drawing of Pirrewitje and the shepherds on their magical journey to the cave. Look how the fireflies and owls are showing them the way, and how the shepherds look in wonder at the lights and sounds.
