The Sun’s Best Friend

I’m tall and bright, with petals of gold,
My heart is black but warm, not cold.
I follow the sun from dawn till dusk,
In its light and warmth, I fully bask.
My seeds are a treat for birds to munch,
For people too, a great lunch bunch.
In summer, I’m in full bloom, a delight,
