Pirrewitje feeds the ducks

Pirrewitje was sitting on a sunny morning in his cozy little house inside a hollow tree. The sun was shining through the branches, making the world outside warm and inviting. Today, Pirrewitje had a special plan: he was going to feed the ducks in the pond!

With a small basket full of breadcrumbs, Pirrewitje walked to the pond. Along the way, he met various friends. “Good morning, Pirrewitje!” said Miep the Mouse. “What are you going to do today?“

“Good morning, Miep! I’m going to feed the ducks. Would you like to come along?“

“Oh, that sounds fun!” squeaked Miep cheerfully.

Together, they continued walking and passed by Squirrel Spikkel’s house. “Hello, Pirrewitje, hello Miep! Where are you going?” asked Spikkel curiously.

“We’re going to feed the ducks at the pond. Would you like to join us?” asked Pirrewitje.

“That sounds great! I’ll come along!” Spikkel exclaimed enthusiastically.

When they arrived at the pond, they saw the ducks quacking happily and swimming around. “Look, there they are!” said Pirrewitje as he took some breadcrumbs from his basket. He carefully sprinkled the crumbs on the water, and the ducks quickly swam over to eat.

Miep the Mouse and Squirrel Spikkel helped too, and together they enjoyed the cheerful splashing of the ducks. “They are so cute,” said Miep with a smile.

“And they are so happy with their food,” added Spikkel.

After a while, the basket was empty, and the ducks sat contentedly in the water. Pirrewitje smiled. “It’s nice that we could help the ducks. It’s always good to be kind to our animal friends.“

“Yes,” said Miep, “it was a wonderful morning.“

“Indeed,” agreed Spikkel, “let’s do this again soon!”
