Pirrewitje plays a happy tune
It’s a beautiful morning in the Gnome Forest. The sun peeks through the tree branches, and the grass sparkles with dew. Pirrewitje, the cheerful gnome with his red hat and green trousers, sits on an old tree stump in front of his little house. He takes out his small flute and begins to play a happy tune.

echoes through the forest. Birds fly closer out of curiosity, and even Snuitje the squirrel stops nibbling on a nut to listen.
“That sounds so lovely, Pirrewitje!” calls out Merel the Mouse, poking her head out of a burrow.
“Thank you, Merel!” laughs Pirrewitje. “I thought: let’s start the day with a cheerful song!“
Slowly, other animals and gnomes gather around. They form a circle around Pirrewitje and start humming along softly. Even the wind seems to dance to the rhythm.
“Why are you playing such a happy tune today, Pirrewitje?” asks Snuitje curiously.
“Today is Big Helping Day!” Pirrewitje says excitedly. “Everyone in the forest is lending a hand to each other today to make everything extra wonderful for everyone!“
The animals cheer, and together they decide to spend the whole day playing cheerful tunes, singing, and helping each other. Pirrewitje plays one last song on his flute before they head off to do good deeds.
