🌟 Little Pirrewit and the Advent Wreath & Calendar 🎄
It was a chilly morning in the gnome forest. The leaves had fallen, the air smelled like cinnamon and pine, and a tiny layer of frost covered the mossy paths.
In his cozy hollow tree, little gnome Pirrewit woke up with a big smile.
🌬️ “Ooooh how lovely,” he yawned. “Today is the first day of Advent! Time to decorate my treehouse for Christmas!”
He wrapped his warm scarf around his neck, placed his pointy red hat just right, and skipped over to his craft corner.
📦 From a little wooden box, he took out pine branches, red berries, a big candle, and a roll of red string.
✂️ Craft Time: The Advent Wreath
On his round wooden table, Pirrewit carefully started crafting.
He hummed a happy tune as he said:
🎵 “A twig here, a berry there, I’m making something with love and care!”
With sticky pine-sap glue, he made a circle from the green branches. Then he gently tucked in the red berries.
Finally, he placed one big candle in the middle. He would light it every Sunday in December until Christmas!
🌟 “Done! My very first gnome Advent wreath!” he said proudly.
📅 Hanging the Advent Calendar
Next, he climbed up on a little stool and reached for a box on the highest shelf.
Inside was his handmade Advent calendar: 24 small paper bags with golden stars.
Each bag had something kind inside:
🧁 a mini cookie,
🧸 a soft word,
🌰 a nut or a tiny felt gnome hug.
With tiny clothespins, he hung them one by one on a string above his window.
He counted out loud:
“One, two, three… all the way to twenty-four!”
When he was done, he smiled.
✨ “Every day I can open a little bag. And maybe… I’ll share some with my friends!”
That evening, Pirrewit lit the first candle on the Advent wreath. The flame flickered softly and warm.
He took the very first little bag, opened it, and…
🎁 Inside was a tiny note:
“Today I will give someone a smile.”
Pirrewit giggled.
😊 “That’s easy! Tomorrow I’ll smile at every forest animal I see!”
He snuggled under his pinecone blanket and whispered:
“Advent is so cozy… and even nicer when you share it.”
