The twinkling lights
In the depth of winter, when the nights were longest and the forest was shrouded in darkness, Pirrewitje had a brilliant idea to bring light and warmth to the dark woods.
Pirrewitje had a small, sparkling lantern that he always carried with him. The light from the lantern was warm and inviting, and on a particularly dark evening, Pirrewitje decided to share his light with his friends in the forest.
He invited all the animals to a special gathering under the big oak tree. When everyone was there, Pirrewitje took his lantern and explained, “This little light is a symbol of hope and friendship. Let’s share this light so that our entire forest is illuminated with warmth and love.“
Pirrewitje passed the light from his lantern to the first friend, a little squirrel. The squirrel held a small nut that began to glow with the same warm light. Then the squirrel passed the light to a rabbit, whose fluffy tail lit up. The light went from animal to animal, each with its own unique glow.
Slowly but surely, the dark forest was filled with small, twinkling lights. The birds had lights on their feathers, the deer on their antlers, and even the little mice had lights on their ears.
The forest was transformed into an enchanting place full of light and warmth. The animals played and danced under the lights, and their joyful laughter filled the air. They felt connected by the shared light, a beautiful symbol of their friendship and unity.
And when the night was at its darkest, the forest was the most illuminated, a sparkling reminder that even in the darkest times, there is light and warmth to be found in each other’s friendship.
