The camels of the three kings

In the kabouter (gnome) forest, where Pirrewit Wit Wit and his friends live, something very special happened on a clear winter day. The kabouters were busy with their daily good deeds, like helping little animals and caring for nature, when they suddenly saw large, majestic animals approaching. They were the camels of the three kings!

The kings were on their way to a faraway land but had heard about the beautiful kabouter forest and decided to take a break there. The camels, with their long, soft hair and large, friendly eyes, came to graze peacefully in the meadow next to the forest. The kabouters watched in wonder at these special animals they had never seen before.

Pirrewit Wit Wit, always curious, invited the other kabouters to come closer. They admired the camels’ large, soft feet that tread so gently on the grass it almost seemed as if they were floating. The kings told the kabouters about the faraway lands from where the camels came and how they traveled through deserts and over mountains.

The kabouters were so impressed that they decided to help the kings and their camels. They picked the juiciest grasses and clover for the camels and filled their drinking troughs with fresh, clear water from the kabouter spring. The camels seemed very pleased and nodded kindly to the kabouters in gratitude for their hospitality.

After a while, it was time for the kings and their camels to continue their journey. The kabouters waved goodbye and watched as the camels slowly disappeared on the horizon. It was a day they would never forget, a day when the world seemed a bit larger and full of wonders.

And Pirrewit Wit Wit, he smiled and thought: “How beautiful it is when we make new friends and learn about the world around us.“
