Pirrewitje’s Thank-You Party
On a sunny autumn day, with leaves in the forest glowing in warm shades of red, yellow, and orange, Pirrewitje decided it was time to thank his friends. They had taken such good care of him when he wasn’t feeling well, and now he wanted to give something special back. He immediately began preparing for a thank-you party.
Pirrewitje baked delicious pumpkin cookies, filled little bowls with berries and nuts, and made warm apple cider with cinnamon. The smell of all the treats filled his tree house, making it sweet and cozy.
When everything was ready, he decorated with colorful autumn leaves. He set up soft moss cushions for his guests and made a small campfire to keep everyone warm.
Finally, it was time for the party! Bram the hedgehog and Sora the squirrel arrived, their eyes sparkling with excitement. “Wow, Pirrewitje, you made everything so beautiful!” said Bram, admiringly.
“And it smells amazing!” squeaked Sora enthusiastically.
Pirrewitje smiled and invited his friends to sit down. “Dear friends,” he began, “I want to thank you for all the care and love you gave me. This party is especially for you!”
They toasted with their cups of warm cider, and everyone took a bite of the delicious pumpkin cookies. They laughed and chatted about all the adventures they had shared. Pirrewitje told stories of funny moments and reminded his friends of all the times they had helped each other.
After a while, Bram suggested they play an autumn game. They played “Hide the Acorn,” where Sora would hide an acorn, and the others had to find it. The game brought lots of giggles and fun. Sora was so good at hiding that it sometimes took a while to find the acorn!
As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the forest, Bram and Sora thanked Pirrewitje. “This was the best party ever!” said Bram with a big smile. “Yes, and the tastiest treats too!” added Sora.
Pirrewitje looked at his friends and felt happy and loved. He knew that the most important part wasn’t the cookies or decorations but the friendship they shared. “Let’s always take care of each other,” he said softly.
And so the party ended with a warm hug, and the friends went home, their hearts full of love and their tummies full of treats.
