Pirrewitje Bakes an Apple Pie
Pirrewitje’s Apple Pie Adventure
On a sunny autumn day, Pirrewitje, the little gnome who lives in a hollow tree, decided to bake something delicious. He had just picked some fresh apples from the orchard and had a fantastic idea: he would bake a wonderful apple pie!
Pirrewitje put on his apron and gathered all the ingredients he needed:
- A big pile of apples
- Some flour
- Sugar
- Cinnamon
- A little bit of butter
With his tiny hands, he peeled the apples carefully so as not to waste any. He placed the peels aside, as a special treat for the birds. Then, he cut the apples into small pieces and sprinkled some sugar and cinnamon over them. The smell was delightful!
Next, Pirrewitje made the dough by mixing flour and butter until it turned into a nice, soft ball. He rolled it out and placed it neatly in his small pie dish. After filling the dish with the spiced apples, he covered it with another layer of dough, making pretty patterns with his little fingers.
As the pie baked in his small woodland oven, Pirrewitje tidied up and made himself a cup of gnome tea. Soon, the whole forest filled with the scent of fresh apple pie. Birds, squirrels, and even a few rabbits wandered over, drawn by the delicious aroma.
When the pie was ready, Pirrewitje took it out of the oven and let it cool. He cut himself a small slice and tasted it. “Mmm, delicious!” he said with a big smile. He invited all his forest friends to join him, and they happily shared the tasty treat together. Everyone thanked Pirrewitje for the delicious surprise, and it turned into a lovely celebration.
And that’s how Pirrewitje, the kind little gnome, brightened everyone’s day with a simple apple pie.
