The lost toy

Once upon a time, there was a little gnome named Pirrewitje. He lived in a cozy, hollow tree in the middle of the forest. Every morning, he woke up to the cheerful singing of the birds and the soft whispers of the leaves in the wind.

One sunny day, Pirrewitje decided it was time to help his friends. He packed his little backpack with tasty berries and nuts. He set off and soon arrived at the house of his friend, a little mouse named Mia. Mia was sitting sadly by her door.

“What’s wrong, Mia?” asked Pirrewitje.

“I have a big problem,” Mia sniffled. “My favorite toy is missing, and I can’t find it anywhere.”

Pirrewitje thought for a moment and then said, “Don’t worry, Mia. We’ll look for it together!“

They started searching in the grass, under the bushes, and among the flowers. After a while, Pirrewitje heard a soft sound. “What was that?” he asked. They followed the sound and found a little hedgehog happily playing with Mia’s toy.

“Oh, there it is!” Mia cried happily. “Thank you, hedgehog! I’m so glad you found it.“

The hedgehog smiled and returned the toy to Mia. They thanked the hedgehog and went back to Mia’s house. Pirrewitje and Mia played together for the rest of the afternoon, laughing and having a lot of fun.

At the end of the day, Pirrewitje went back to his tree, tired but happy. He was glad he could help his friend, and he quickly fell asleep that night, dreaming of new adventures.
