Pirrewit and the Goldfish

One sunny morning, Pirrewit woke up with a big smile. Today he was going to do something very special! After a quick breakfast of berries and nuts, he put on his little red boots and walked to the edge of the gnome village, where the big pond was.

At the edge of the pond, a few friends were already waiting: Molleke the mole, who was always a bit shy, and Lila the dragonfly, who could fly beautifully. “Good morning, Pirrewit! We’re going to clean up the pond today, right?” said Lila excitedly.

“Yes!” Pirrewit replied cheerfully. “And we’re going to do something very special for the goldfish that live here.” He took out a small net and a bucket from his backpack. “We’re going to clean up the pond, so the water is clear and clean for our fishy friends!“

They got to work, removing leaves and twigs from the water, and making sure there was no trash. Molleke dug little channels to help the water flow better. Lila helped by gently stirring the water with her wings to clean it.

After a while, the water was crystal clear. The goldfish came closer curiously and swam happily around in their clean home. “Look, they’re so happy!” Pirrewit exclaimed. The fish seemed almost to smile at them.

As a reward for their hard work, Pirrewit decided to have a little party at the edge of the pond. They ate raspberries and drank dewdrops from leaves. “We’ve done something beautiful together today,” Pirrewit said. “And when we work together, we can achieve a lot!“

It was a wonderful day full of friendship and caring for nature. Pirrewit and his friends went home feeling good about doing something positive.
